Rockridge is a vast suburb to the north of the city of Oakland, California. The neighborhood is north of the St Mary Cemetery 15 minutes away from the downtown district of the city. Several subdivisions make up the Rockridge district, including Upper Rockridge, South Rockridge, West Rockridge, North Rockridge, Rockridge Terrace, and Rockridge Boulevard. The community is a mostly residential district known for its upscale communities and well-developed commercial areas. There are lots of restaurants, stores, and groceries, providing lots of places to visit close to home for families living in the suburb. These establishments are centered around the Rockridge Shopping Center and the main thoroughfares of College Avenue and Pleasant Valley Avenue. Residents also have access to excellent school options perfect for those looking to buy a house to move into with their children. Golfers will love the Claremont Country Club located south of the district, providing a challenging 18-hole championship course and world-class club amenities.
